We supply customers with bioreactors of several sizes. These devices support a biologically active environment. A bioreactor is a vessel in which a chemical process is carried out which involves organisms or biochemically active substances derived from such organisms. This process can either be aerobic or anaerobic. These bioreactors are commonly cylindrical, ranging in size from litres to several cubic metres.
When lack of fermentation capacity slows down your research or when you are ready to bring your production process to a next level, we can offer fermentation capacity on different scales. In our laboratory we are able to produce proteins, metabolites or biomass in fermenters with working volumes ranging from 0.1 to 100 liter. Depending on the type of application, process or scale, the fermentation broth can be prepared for further downstream processing.
Our biomass R&D fermentation experts are active in the field of industrial (food) microbiology and biotechnology. We offer research related to fermentation processes that aims for solutions that contribute to development or improvement of the whole process. Projects may consist of feasibility studies or proof of principle experiments, but can also involve optimization, change in design of equipment or scaling up to (pilot) production processes.
